After 30 years of heading large companies, Martyn Hymas, Owner and Managing Director of Alpine was disillusioned with false promises and so many customers experiences of poor service and fitting by large companies that he decided to start his own company. He and his wife, Christine, chose premises local to where they live because they wanted a hands-on approach which enables them to keep in touch with all elements of the business.

Martyn explains, "We decided to specialise and create a niche market in not only local areas but with products as well. The products I have lived with for over thirty years are windows, doors, fascias and cladding products and, with this in mind, I have chosen the best suppliers in the business. I truly believe that there is not a better looking, safer and more practical window in the market place today. Couple this with very professional installers that have a minimum of fifteen years fitting experience and you have a winning formula straight away."
The support from local people for Alpine has been amazing. We have completed over 6,000 local installations and are not owed one penny. This is a fantastic testimonial in itself. We have tried to take service levels back to the old days by ensuring that the customer is in control. We give full inspection in writing when the installation is complete - only when this is signed does the customer pay. A guarantee is not good enough in today's world, so we back all our products, installations and Alpine itself with a full transferable Lloyds insurance which lasts for ten years.
